CECI WEST
CHIEF MARKETING & PURPOSE OFFICER

Ceci West is Chief Marketing & Purpose Officer of MedAffect, and heads up the brand management, marketing and philanthropy/cause marketing practices. In addition, Ceci acts as CMO/CPO for Watertree Health, where she drives consumer attitude and behavior, builds the brand experience, integrates the marketing process with technology, and leads the philanthropic/cause marketing efforts.

Ceci began her career with two of the largest global advertising companies, Lowe Worldwide and Ogilvy & Mather. She was then hired by 1-800-Flowers.com and quickly promoted to Director of Marketing, responsible for bringing the brand alive across three key business channels: phone, “brick and mortar” and the internet, where company websites and e-commerce were in their infancy. Being a socially-minded marketer, Ceci helped the organization launch their first cause marketing initiative, The Pink Ribbon Bouquet, through which more than a million dollars have been raised to-date for breast and ovarian cancer research.

McCann Erickson recruited Ceci to bring the integrated marketing model, which she crafted at 1-800-flowers.com, to their clients. As SVP Management Representative, she was responsible for a mix of global and domestic accounts with sales ranging between $300 million and $14 billion.

Prior to stepping into her role with Watertree Health, Ceci held senior level executive positions at mission-based organizations including Blink Twice Inc. assistive technology, the U.S. operations of The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA) and Lifeline New York humanitarian organization.

Ceci received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Vassar College. She is a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish® Metro New York & Western New York chapter, and has served on a number of nonprofit boards including the Parks Foundation, McKibben Foundation and WSPA – Costa Rica.
